The swimming pool of the estate

The pool area is designed to allow for happy cohabitation between guests thanks to its various relaxation areas with large deckchairs and two very large parasols. The pool coping and deck are made of local granite, which considerably reduces the risk of slipping. The size of the pool (12m x 5m) allows for diving and swimming in complete peace; safety is ensured by a retractable and lockable shelter, but nothing can replace the vigilance of adults. Between May 1st and September 30th, the pool water temperature is guaranteed at a minimum of 26.5° thanks to heating by a heat pump supplemented by thermal solar panels. Daily, the person in charge of maintaining the property opens and closes the pool while checking the cleanliness of the water and the pool.

The private tennis court of the estate

The tennis court (in quick) was redone in 2017. It is equipped with an umpire's chair and two spectator seats. Tennis shoes and balls not provided.

The fishing of the estate

Overlooked by a small orchard and surrounded by a few stone banks, our small pond offers an ideal meditation area with beautiful views of the area and the surrounding countryside. Stocked of roaches, of Tench, of some carps and even of pike, only the fishing "no Kill" is allowed from the pontoon designed for this purpose: the catches must therefore be returned to the living water. Needless to say, children can only fish or play under the supervision of an adult, because at the centre the depth reaches 3 meters. Swimming is strictly forbidden. Although recent and probably thanks to the water quality of the sources that feed it, the pond offers abundant flora and fauna: The lovers will be able to observe it at nightfall: ducks, herons and coypu and the contemplatives admire Iris, hyacinths Water, herbaceous, lily and broom.

The tapestry of Aubusson recognized worldwide

Less than 25 minutes by car from the Domaine de Louveraude, the discovery of AUBUSSON is necessary if only to understand how AUBUSSON became the world capital of Tapestry and why UNESCO, in 2019, has inscripted Aubusson tapestry on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity... For six centuries, tapestries have been woven in Aubusson. The purity of the hollow water, sheep wool, dye plants and an existing textile activity have probably facilitated the installation of the first weavers. Becoming Royal Manufacture by Colbert's will, Aubusson owes its international fame to the technique of weaving on a smooth bass craft. This long and meticulous work can only be carried out thanks to the fingering of the weavers and their long years of learning. To discover what is the tapestry of AUBUSSON it is necessary to visit: ·         «La Cité Internationale de la Tapisserie », the all new museum tracing five and a half centuries of production in AUBUSSON in a very successful museography. http://www.cite-tapisserie.fr/fr ·         « Le Musée des cartons de tapisserie » next to the picturesque Pont de la Terrade (the traditional quarter of the upholsterers for several centuries) ·         « La Maison du Tapissier » information: tourist Office of Aubusson-Felletin https://www.tourisme-aubusson.com/
